The materials, most of which are printed, were collected by Szajkowski. The printed materials are chiefly in Yiddish and Russian; some are in French, Ukrainian, German, Polish, Hebrew, and English. Most are from Russia or the USSR, from such places as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, and Odessa, from ca. 1905-06 and 1917-20. Most of the items concern the Jews, including some anti-Semitic items; others deal with the revolutionary movement in Russia or with the Civil War. Also included are a few letters by Russian radicals in Paris in 1917, and manuscript materials by Russian Social Democrat A. Lozovskiĭ. Also in this collection are materials relating to Jews in France in the 1920's and 1930's.
